At Westwood Financial, one of our core values is service. We believe that our success as a company is intertwined with the well-being of the communities we serve. As part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, we take pride in giving back to our local communities each year. This past quarter, we were excited to support the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club in California, the Piper Branch Boys and Girls Club in Arizona, the East Dallas Boys and Girls Club in Texas, and the Norcross Boys and Girls Club in Georgia. Our commitment to these communities goes beyond just volunteer hours; it also includes a substantial financial contribution. Here’s a closer look at our team’s endeavors in these regions.
California Office – Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club
Our California office teamed up with the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club, an organization dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for local youth. Our team had the incredible opportunity to work with kids engaging in various enriching programs. From exciting sports and games like flag football to unleashing their creativity in film production, art, and photography, our team shared valuable skills and experiences with the kids.
We also delved into science and storytelling, expanding the horizons of young minds. Our commitment to education extended to Power Hour, where we offered homework help to the children. To make the day even more special, Westwood provided pizza, ensuring everyone had a delicious meal and great memories.
Arizona Office – Piper Branch Boys and Girls Club
In the vibrant state of Arizona, our team spent an afternoon at the Piper Branch Boys and Girls Club playing various games with the children. Laughter and excitement filled the air as we fostered a sense of camaraderie, fun, and teamwork. Westwood sponsored a KONA Ice truck, making the event more enjoyable and memorable.
Texas Office – East Dallas Boys and Girls Club
Over in Texas, our team worked with the East Dallas Boys and Girls Club. Our involvement started with the first “Wildcat Friday,” a spirited event that captured the essence of community, togetherness, and healthy competition. The day featured multiple Triple Play sports and games, where our team members facilitated and participated alongside the children as they moved from one exciting activity to another. The Wildcat Friday event was a dynamic pep rally to ignite enthusiasm before the center’s big game.
Georgia Office – Norcross Boys and Girls Club
In Georgia, our team joined forces with the Norcross Boys and Girls Club for the ‘Jump Rope for the Heart’ event. This initiative encourages cardiovascular activities among children, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. Once again, Westwood sponsored a KONA Ice truck for the event, adding an extra element of joy. Jumping rope together, our team and the kids sent a powerful message about staying active and caring for our hearts.
As we continue our journey, we remain dedicated to making a difference in the communities where we operate. We look forward to more opportunities to give back. Together, we can build stronger, healthier, and happier communities for everyone.
