Westwood Financial Acquires South Town Crossing II in Burleson, Texas

Acquisition underscores firm’s long-term commitment to the DFW market

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (July 30, 2026) — Westwood Financial, a leading retail real estate investment firm, has expanded its Dallas–Fort Worth portfolio with the acquisition of South Town Crossing II in Burleson, Texas. This Target-shadow-anchored center adjoins South Town Crossing I, which has been part of the Fund’s portfolio since 2012, further strengthening Westwood’s position within one of the metro’s premier retail submarkets.

“South Town Crossing II is an important expansion of our portfolio that emphasizes our commitment to the Burleson market,” said Lauren Ball, Chief Operating Officer at Westwood Financial. “Nearly 15 years ago, we recognized the potential of this community. Today, strong tenant demand, a growing customer base and the center’s proven performance continue to validate that conviction, making this acquisition a natural extension of our investment strategy.”

Located at NW John Jones Drive and SW Wilshire Boulevard, South Town Crossing II comprises 23,300 square feet. With this acquisition, Westwood now owns 83,286 square feet within South Town Crossing, representing 82% of the shop space surrounding the Target anchor.

Positioned in the heart of Burleson’s primary retail corridor, the fully leased property includes tenants such as Petco, Mathnasium, Mattress Firm, and Glitz Nails, complementing neighboring tenants like Buff City Soaps, Monarch Dental, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Crumbl Cookies.

“We have seen considerable residential growth in Burleson, and the recent announcement of two master-planned communities reinforces our conviction in the market. These are exactly the types of long-term fundamentals we look for when investing in high-growth retail corridors,” said K.C. Bills, Chief Executive Officer at Westwood Financial. “South Town Crossing is effectively positioned to serve the community for years to come. Expanding our presence in this development demonstrates our confidence in the market and our focus on creating lasting value for our shareholders.”
